ESE Industries Achieves ISO 9001 Certification

ESE Industries has achieved ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems certification from NSF-ISR, an NSF company. The standard helps organizations reliably meet the needs of clients in both the delivery and continuous improvement of products and services.

ESE Industries received the certification for its design, manufacturing, inspection, and support processes necessary for the provision of carbon fiber automotive and military wheels.

“We are dedicated to continually improving QMS to better meet customer needs, so ISO 9001 certification is a significant achievement for us,” said Carlos Hermida, CEO of ESE Industries. “Our goal is to make innovative carbon fiber composites more accessible to automotive, industrial and other applications where lightweighting is beneficial.”

ESE Industries was launched by ESE Carbon Company, the manufacturer of the first one-piece carbon fiber aftermarket wheel in the U.S. ESE Carbon is leading the way in automotive wheel advancements, serving on the SAE Wheel committee and helping to develop international standards for carbon fiber wheels.

ISO 9001 is based on quality management principles such as a strong customer focus, the involvement of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Certification to ISO 9001 helps companies provide consistent, good quality products and services.

“Through certification to ISO 9001, ESE Industries is able to not only improve their products, process and service quality, but it also helps them reduce waste,” states Jen Morecraft, Senior Director of NSF-ISR. “This shows ESE’s commitment to improve their business and meet customer expectations globally.”

The standard focuses on performance through a combination of risk-based thinking and a process approach, as well as employment of the “plan-do-check-act” cycle at all levels in the organization.
